Hermeticism is a form of mysticism that is polytheist as well as monist. Those two labels deal with different fields, the former being a theological belief and the latter a philosophical stance. The notion of Oneness as the Godhead does not diminish the divinity of the gods.

Sukkah update: it's still standing, though it's a little lopsided now that it's setled after some rain; I ordered more PVC pipes/fittings and a cutter tool to reinforce the structure for next year. Later today I'll go down the rural roads with a machete to get some tall grass for the skhakh.

So I got a wild hair up my ass last week and ordered supplies to make a sukkah. While I've yet to gather greenery from the forest I live in to cover it with, I guess it's not the worst first attempt to start with. (also lol building this during the forecasted "wettest week of the year" for my area)

using a fork + steak knife to eat pizza because I dug a frozen pizza out of the freezer but it was coated in frost, so I microwaved it longer than normal, and the bottom of it ended up steaming but, after being rolled up like a burrito, the crust turned leather-tough so delicious with spicy ketchup

Even back in college (especially with my thesis on the use/misuse/abuse of metrics to determine software quality), I've agreed with the idea that "software engineering" doesn't deserve to be called engineering; it's unlike almost every other kind of engineering out there in method and measurement.
