Thanks. I pledged in 2020 for the vinyl and didn't know the film was included with it so I bought a physical usb cassette of the film. Always good to support the project though. I'll watch it when I receive it next month.

The first original Boards of Canada music in 13 years! I only truly got into BOC over the last two years so it's maybe not that long of a gap for me, but I didn't think I'd ever witness a new album being launched by them. Some kind of 5th release is happening and it couldn't come at a better time

It makes a good point for the human element in music. I like the anonymity of vaporwave but the more public facing artists may be the ones who suffer less from the propagation of AI trash on Spotify

I used to be able to eat anything without it affecting my weight but now I'm actively trying to lose weight. Since the spring I took up running and am on course to finish the couch to 5k. Music production has taken a back seat to my interest in fitness but maybe that's not entirely a bad thing.

Identical to 5+ years ago and hopefully on the way to being the best it's been. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism three years ago and am now on lifelong medication for it but I haven't encountered any severe symptoms. I didn't escape covid but only had it for four days.

I think I got a virus from a warez site download once in the 90s but nothing from KaZaa, Morpheus or Limewire. There were a few 'decoy' mp3s which were the first few bars repeated for the normal length of the track. Nobody remembers these but I wonder if they were an inspiration for eccojams

If it's not reverb then the other effect must be slowing it down? Seriously though, I'd say PaulStretch or a granular synth to create abstract ambient textures or glitchy quickly repeated percussive sections on the coarser settings.

It's good to know a bit of those extra things besides music production. For the larger projects you can commission pro artists who don't all charge a lot. I've used fiverr.com and artgrab.co (for existing artwork) as well as friends in the scene. Happy to recommend them if you need.

It could only be practical if you could fly or were a sea creature where the bristles would act as a filter or funnel for food. The brush made of teeth would be a pointless way to wear down the bristles

Excellent. I think the first jungle song I heard of a similar tempo was Roni Size's Brown Paper Bag in 97 although I do remember when Charly by The Prodigy entered the charts in 1991. No other music that was accessible by mainstream media sounded like it at the time.
