This week marks the sixth anniversary of the promise being made and today MSPs debated some of the proposed changes to the Children (Care, Care Experience and Services Planning) (Scotland) Bill which will make significant legal changes to help keep the promise.

We welcome the decision of the Scottish Parliament to collectively vote to support the principles of this Bill. This is an important first step in legislation needed to keep the promise & we are committed to working with MSPs & the Scottish Government to continue to strengthen the Bill at Stage 2.

The Independent Care Review was clear that legislation is crucial to being able to #KeepThePromise. The Promise Scotland has created a range of documents to support The Scottish Government, and all those interested in creating legislative change. (🧵2/3)
