We were pleased that CYCJ’s Practice Development Advisor Donna McEwan was able to discuss the criminal exploitation of children (CEC) on BBC radio Scotland show, Lunchtime Live today, reiterating the importance for practitioners to recognise the signs of harm when children may be being exploited.

We will be hosting a two-day CARM training, to assist those working with young people under 18 to explore the use of risk assessment and risk management planning with young people whose behaviours are considered to present with “serious risk of harm”.

For the past two and a half years, we’ve been researching children’s intersectional experiences of protected characteristics, poverty, and justice. This research, supported by the Nuffield Foundation, was co-designed with a Youth Advisory Group of children aged 14–17, who were central to the project

Our Challenging Justice Inequalities research project explored children’s intersectional experiences of protected characteristics, poverty, and justice. The research was co-designed with a Youth Advisory Group of children aged 14–17, who were central to the project’s design and delivery.
