Trump announced an immediate “energy ceasefire” between Russia and Ukraine, claiming both sides had agreed and warning them not to break it. FT reporter Christopher Miller says the claim is false, reporting that Zelensky and his office have no info about an energy ceasefire agreed with Russia.

The fact that we already violated this ceasefire (that's totally not the figment of cognitive declining octogeniarien) shows Ukraine wants the war to continue.

Q: "It's not just Trump, we also heard from Elon Musk saying Zelenskyy has gone too far. Why are they blaming you for the continuation of this war?" Zelenskyy: "Because these people can't find a key to how to stop Putin. Because it's more difficult to stop Putin than to pressure others..."

Trump was singing North Korea’s praises just before South Korean ships were caught transporting Russian oil and South Korea’s president turned openly hostile towards Ukraine. I suspect the US has been pulling strings behind closed doors, pressuring its allies to fall in line.

In an intimate three-quarter portrait, the face of an apprentice geisha (maiko) or geiko emerges like a porcelain mask from a muted, olive-toned backdrop. Her features are defined by the classical, opaque white foundation (oshiroi), contrasted by arched brows drawn in crimson and charcoal, delicate sweeps of red pigment (beni) at the outer corners of her eyes, and a richly saturated crimson lower lip. Beside her cheek, an unadorned, pale hand is raised in a gentle, suspended gesture, its soft skin and natural skin tone providing an organic counterpart to the stylized perfection of her makeup. The photograph evokes a tactile and serene sensory atmosphere: the cool, velvety texture of water-soluble white paste drying upon skin, the faint, waxy aroma of traditional facial oils (bintsuke-abura) and camellia oil, the subtle rustle of silk moving with her hand, and a suspended silence in which every deliberate gesture carries centuries of ritualized grace.

The makeup depicted here represents one of the most recognizable visual codes of the traditional performing arts in Kyoto’s historic hanamachi (flower towns). Originating in the Edo period and inspired in part by the dramatic cosmetics of Kabuki theater (kumadori), the application of oshiroi served a practical as well as aesthetic purpose in dimly lit, candlelit banquets, allowing a performer’s facial expressions and subtle gestures to remain visible across dark tatami rooms. Applying this makeup is a rigorous daily ritual embodying monozukuri—the meticulous devotion to craft and physical discipline.
