A new mission by the Swedish Korpen over the Black Sea today. After yesterday’s mission, the aircraft did not return to Sweden but landed in Bucharest, from where it departed this morning for another mission.

Finland is a bit of an odd one also that despite being ruled by Sweden and Russia, the population is culturally and genetically rather different from any of the other European nations. This despite the last 30 years of politics saying that everyone is a Finn who lives in Finland.

It's the difference in attitude of those who come. People used to come to build something for themselves. Now they come with a list of demands and expectation that by behaving like at home, they will get the host nations quality of life without having to do anything

Sweden has much more immigration. But basically all the issues follow in Finland after 10-15 years. And our slightly difficult language doesn't really help. Nor the fact that if you want and can work, you probably won't come here...

It certainly is. The "new world" was colonized when the economy was expanding, only limited by population. The old world welfare states are stagnant and there isn't a huge need for a low skill workforce. Just a comparison, Finland was a 99% monoculture, until 1990...

It's a fractured coalition from concerned social democrats to accelerationist Nazi's. Local variance is big and fringes are far away. Why? There is a huge void in German politics if you don't like mass migration. The only thing that runs through the party is anti immigration and pro Russia

Merz seems to be a bit of a slow learner... There is a choice that needs to be done. Either nation states exist or they don't. A state whose original population becomes a minority will transform so profoundly that you might as well surrender. There has been no discussion id the change is good..
