next check; everyone but Sazabi is doing well, she has some swelling I've been watching for a while that hasn't changed, but I noticed it's spread in small pockets up her lower body so it's clearly getting worse. pulling her from brumation today to slowly warm her back up and get her to a vet

🐍Dog-toothed cat snake (Boiga cynodon) Max. size 280 cm (9'2"). Females grow larger than males Found in southern Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore. Considered Least Concern by the IUCN. 📷by kuritafsheen77 on Freepik
A light brown snake is looking slightly to the left of the camera. The snake has its mouth slightly open. It has both medium and dark brown markings along its body. The head and the front part of the body is held in an S-shape showing it is in a defensive position. The neck is somewhat laterally compressed which it does for the same reason that a cobra shows its hood - to appear larger when faced with a potential threat.

Part of a curled up mostly red snake with black and white bands. The white bands are narrow and has wider black bands on either side. The red bands are again several times wider than the black bands. The snake is resting its jaw on part of its body. It is looking to the left in the picture.

I can't verify it, but I'm pretty certain Haro is blind, or at least HEAVILY visually impared. not the biggest deal for a ball python, thankfully, but I need to think about how to move forward with her enclosure if I decide to change it around 🤔🤔

second check went well, no one has lost weight except Cas, who's lost about 5%...not enough to pull him out, but more than I was expecting. if he loses another 8-10% I'll pull him out early. gotta get his enclosure nice and cleaned in the meantime -_-

ugh that's the ideal 😭 I'd consider giving Sazabi to the right home, if you were genuinely interested. She has a couple of odd things about her which is one reason I'm hesitant to breed and/or sell her. being ruthless with breeding projects SUCKS
110
🐍🪳Pleroma🪳🐍 @pleroma-exotics.bsky.social · 11/12/2025
there's only two visual T+ diones in the states of breeding age that I know of (I THINK there's a third but idk parentage) so genetic diversity is kinda hard to come by. I'm more interested in locality/phase animals than morphs but I know people would want them.

🐍🪳Pleroma🪳🐍 @pleroma-exotics.bsky.social · 11/12/2025
Sazabi: my first diones, my baby girl I would 100% regret losing, great Vlad, but maybe pet only Sinanju: het T+ AND a gorgeous red Kiki: Xi'an locality, I Want Them Red: stunning flame, would be stupid to sell? Gold: visually a bit of a mutt but het T+ and unrelated to Sinanju, which is big
120
🐍🪳Pleroma🪳🐍 @pleroma-exotics.bsky.social · 11/12/2025
if I were to sell the diones, I'd go from 2.3 to 1.1, but it really is impossible to decide 😔 it's a very solid group with a lot of possibilities. Great quality reds, good quality greens/Chinese (not the BEST tho so eh), and potential for visual T+
