The Fall 2026 session has really begun here! Our first few groups are starting their classwide explorations this week, and about six groups are actively seeking mentors and hope to start by the end of September! This session, we have a nice diversity of topics under exploration, too!

You can see us in this video! :). (Blink and you'll miss it, but Jen is wearing her favorite PlantingScience shirt when the BSA staff shouts, 'Plant People!') (Maybe we need a verse about teachers and scientists working together to help students better understand plants? Hmmm...)

Ken Cameron didn't start out leading BSA, he started out belonging to it, & that belonging grew into service, & the presidency. YOUR Journey, from belonging to leading, is OUR Story, & BSA supports you every step of the way. Support the BSA Endowment this #DayforBSA! 🌱 day-for-bsa.botany.org/2026

Obviously, we agree! Sometimes it seems that academia disregards the impact simple interaction can have on students at the 6th-12th grade levels. However, these are the ages when we can really build the curiosity and interest that founds future adults' science and botanical literacy.
