There are NO new awards since before the April 2025 RIF. AHRQ lists fired staff on the continuation grants NoAs it did award in FY26 - as in the grants staff it FIRED in 2025.

Welp, after waiting for nearly a year for my (already allocated) funding, my AHRQ R01 was “not awarded continued funding” (aka terminated). After four years of data collection and $2 million spent, we did not receive our fifth year to analyze the data.

Need support for the illegally fired Feds from AHRQ - no RIF notices were rescinded despite the failure to spend funds in FY25 As a direct result of the RIF. AHRQ is the fired Feds - hiring new doesn’t cure the problem.

AHRQ fired all its grants staff in the April 2025 RIF last year. The writing was on the wall. Political appointees running a grants program leads to this. If only there had been an outcry when for the staff fired perhaps this would not have been the result.
