First red flag should’ve been the poached elk carcass in the parking lot—probably should’ve turned around right then.There were also multiple warning signs about hornets and wasps throughout the area. We didnt make it to the falls after running into a washout on the path that was impassible.

Definitely not a hike for beginners. There’s no marked trail, tons of large downed trees, and it’s very easy to lose the path and get turned around. Only attempt this if you’re an experienced hiker with strong navigation skills.
