Now that Hytale is here, I'm reminiscing about these shark-inspired mob design ideas I sketched out five years ago. An attempt to diversify our idea of sharks in games, moving beyond the old stereotypes of aggressive mobs without depth! 🦈✨ #Hytale #Shark

Illustration of a concept for a shark mob called Ocelot Shark. Inspired by the zebra shark, nurse shark, and bamboo shark, it is yellow with round red spots reminiscent of a jaguar.

This shark lays external eggs hanging from corals, which are inspired by the pouch-shaped and spiral design of shark eggs.

They would be peaceful and would flee upon showing aggression; sometimes they can be heard making a barking-like noise on the surface of the water when they surface to gulp air.

Illustration of a concept for a shark mob called Galleon Shark. Inspired by the tiger shark, it is bluish in color with dark stripes and yellow details, with a reddish snout tip and protuberances resembling small horns on its head.

This shark would tend to hunt other sharks around it, being more active at night.

They would be peaceful but could become aggressive when threatened. They are quite curious and do not hesitate to approach.

More on the Galleon shark concept.

The illustration shows that they can be attracted to food in the player's bag, approach while you have your back turned, and steal the food, quickly swimming away.

But it is shown that if you tap its snout as it approaches, it will swim away.

Illustration of a concept for a mob called “Wanderer Shark,” inspired by the whale shark and the colors of sea slugs. It would be large and slow, yellow in color with vibrant cyan and blue accents and details on its fins reminiscent of butterfly wings.

They would be accompanied by small “fairy fish,” inspired by the behavior of remoras that accompany sharks. They are blue, pink, and yellow in color, and their small fins resemble fairy wings.

They would be gentle giants that just wander the open sea in search of magical plankton. They say that their presence is announced when the plankton glows with bioluminescence.

The official Canadian Petition to reign in payment processor censorship has stalled out just under 10k signatures. This is a reminder for Canadians, this is an OFFICIAL petition that will be responded to. Show your support in protecting our free speech! www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en...

e-6695 (Consumer protection)

Keywords
Censorship Credit cards Internet Pornography

E-petition
Initiated by Carmen Tam from Waterloo, Ontario

Original language of petition: English
Petition details
Petition to the House of Commons
Whereas:

Mastercard, Visa, and other payment platforms have been leveraging their power over consumer ability to purchase legal content;
In 2021, Mastercard changed its policies to regulate adult entertainment by preventing the use of its payment platform on numerous adult entertainment sites;
As of July 2025, video game distribution service Steam now cites rule 15, that “adult only” content is not permitted on the platform if it goes against payment processor’s policies. Steam does not describe what content is defined as “adult only”;
As of July 2025, video game distribution website Itch.io has “deindexed” all adult NSFW content from browse and search pages. Users that previously purchased legitimate video games cannot access games that have been removed; and
This has set an unsettling precedent of corporate censorship, causing concern in video game development teams, including developers, voice actors, and artists in other creative fields as their livelihoods are in limbo.

We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to
1. Stop financial discrimination by payment platforms against legal goods and services;
2. Ensure transparency to consumers about content restrictions and the rationale behind them; and
3. Protect creators' rights to make legal adult content and ensure a fair appeals process for any penalized media.

NEW from me: This morning, a Stripe customer representative confirmed to me that they do not allow LGBTQ content and haven't for a month--at first. Later, after putting me on hold, the representative confusingly said they were wrong and that they don't ban LGBTQ content, only "abusive" content.

I cannot describe how fucking happy it makes me seeing journalists just pointing out that they're lying. Once again, if you're calling, bringing up these articles as why you're calling is a VERY good idea. Why are they lying? Why are they refusing to process legal transactions?
