The longer I work in any carreer in the US the more I understand the "keep them desperate" philosophy of capitalism. Can't quit regardless of reason without a new job cause if you don't have a job you have NOTHING. Moral problems with where you work? You're not protected, but the business is.

For it's time, Heroes was a great series. Issues with misogyny and racism aside, it wanted to bring the love and acceptance of "the other" the X-Men so valiantly portray. Even if it fell short initially. It makes me want @gailsimone.bsky.social to reboot Heroes in a better light. Britches optional

Rewatching Fantastic4 and I appreciate that they made Johnny a linguistics guy. He had been portrayed as one dimensional in a lot of different media, with a trash-stash in others, but here he felt like more than just a hot headed womanizer.
