Okay, so you could do the animation trick with a 1024x1024 canvas with 64 frames of animation — definitely pushing hardware and software pretty hard at that size though! And obviously you can’t see everything together until you export, but that should hopefully be okay for making tile-sets?

One option that might work to get round the limitation is to create an animation. So say you want a 2000x2000px canvas, if you create a 1000x1000px project with 4 frames, you can have a frame per quadrant then export as a 2-column wide sprite sheet.
