I still keep track of how many days since the January 6th insurrection; I just have had too much going on to keep posting, mainly depression. It's justifiable: my dog passed in June, one of our cats is sick, my job sucks, our apartment sucks, & trump is making it hard to finish my master's degree.

Any fellow grad students feel misled by their university? I could have cut back at work and taken classes full-time to finish before losing my Grad PLUS loans. The university had to know this, and yet they never said a thing! Now I'll have the debt, but no degree, which cuts my earning potential.

Just a reminder: "No-skill jobs" do not exist. Every job requires some level of basic skill. Every. Single. One. "No-skill jobs" is terminology created to justify paying people far less than a living wage and is used by those who think $7.25 is acceptable for anyone they consider to be inferior.

Unless something changes, my Grad PLUS loans will end at the end of this year and I will have to drop out of my graduate program. I will be 2/3 finished with a master's degree but will not be able to continue for the last 4 classes. All because of the orange piece of shit and his OBBBA.

When my cat Loki passed in 2022, we had some scuffles between our other two cats. Loki had been their mediator, but they mostly sorted it out and tolerated each other. Now that my dog has passed, they are at it again. Plus the two sisters my dog helped to rescue are also having their own scuffles.
