A thing that was allotted 2.5-3h took 5.5h. There’s a lesson here that I have a hard time learning, because I mostly worked on original pieces I cut myself, which is most of these clothes aren’t cut or sewn as carefully as I do. You can’t trust their lines; which in today’s case were knife pleats.

Received a bag of chanterelles collected by my parents’ neighbour from somewhere in the gorge. Sautéed them in browned sage butter, and made a lovely bechamel with bacon and kale over pappardelle. I love pnw fall.

Heart Hoya is going nuts. Finally repotted it, because it was going to fall over. It spot up another 8 inches within less than a week. It’s the plant they sell around Valentine’s Day in the tiny pot with one heart leaf. It was just that one leaf for 5 years before it grew a vine.

I know the official #inktober has terrible circumstances. Thing is, I was 2-3 years in before I found out it wasn’t just a generic term, but now it is. Even the anti-inktober crowd uses the hashtag. I do hope you do click on the hashtag; there will be a ton of amazing artwork from many prompt lists.

Here’s where I post some old artwork, because I’m holding off on the new until the series is finished. A kitten star from 2019 featuring kitten Minou! We have the triple cat goddess, the chewed up red string of fate, the rodent skull of death, the cat eye of Ra and the spitty feather of truth!

Another piece I drew in 2018 for a memento mori themed group show. A death head hawk moth with a cat skull on its back as a mourning piece after the loss of my 22 year old cat.

This little dude it the precursor to my current project. This right here is a perilous situation. I couldn’t tell you if it’s good or bad. That’s for you to decide. To me it poses way more questions than I have answers for.

Which simply means the tech companies aren't spying on us ENOUGH, because all autocorrect needs to do to read the room is see how many cat photos we have on our phones to conclude that we really DO mean "cat" when we type "cat".

I live in PDX *and* use an umbrella (I walk everywhere. You don’t get to criticise my life decisions if you drive a car, and only have to walk less than a block or two). It has to be raining hard enough for me to bother to put it up. The real purpose is if I have my umbrella, it doesn’t rain on me.
