Last night, Salish Blanket Co. was broken into. While damaged property can be repaired, something priceless was taken from our store that can never be replaced.
Stolen from the shop was a hand woven blanket created by my son, Isaiah, as his Grade 12 capstone project. He gifted it to me and it is one of my most cherished and invaluable possessions.

am outraged that the Government of Alberta is spending my tax dollars to appeal a court ruling on behalf of a private separatist organization. The court found the petition process unconstitutional and halted it. That should be the end of the matter unless the
petitioners themselves choose to challenge the decision.
If a separatist group wants to fight this in court, they can pay for their own appeal. It is not the responsibility of Alberta taxpayers to subsidize a political project the government claims it does not even support. At a time when public services are strained, diverting public money to rescue a flawed, privately driven referendum campaign is irresponsible and unjustifiable.

Thank you Justice Shaina Leonard! Finally, reason prevails and the citizen-led initiative has been squashed.
How then can the premier justify using Albertans' tax dollars to challenge the court's ruling on a citizen initiative?
What more proof do we need that the UCP are closet separatists too cowardly to be honest with the people of Alberta that they profess to serve?

Smith bending backwards for separatists
Danielle Smith says she is going to appeal the court ruling on the separation from Canada because of errors in law and because it will deny the opportunity to have over 300,000 Albertans have their petition verified. She didn't seem that excited to look after the many more Albertans who signed the Forever Canada petition.
She is ignoring the rights of the Albertans who will be directly affected by this petition - the First Nations.
Smith says her government wants to remain in Canada but has done everything possible to cater to these separatists. After the previous court ruling against the petition, she changed the law so the constitutional requirements were removed. She is defending the separatists in court. She won't let Thomas Lukaszuk address the legislature. She also ignores the strife this fool's errand will have on families, friends and
communities throughout Alberta.
Instead of turfing separatists from her party, she bends over backwards for them. Why is the government appealing this court decision? Why not let the separatists fight their own battles? I am somewhat
skeptical that Smith wants Alberta to remain in Canada.
If so, start waving the flag and show some opposition to the separatists.

Some people have life experiences of living in hellscapes and don't want that for others and some people have never had to live in hell and think it will just all work out and that their parents will make everything okay for them and they'll all get a trophy. That's the problem.
