Geno with the third worst Raider QB performance in the last ten years. I’m so sick of this shit from this team. They will NEVER figure it out. NEVER.

Imagine the parlay bet of #SJSharks blown third period leads

Pilfered Pie @pilferedpie.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

It's probably not true, but it feels like this team has lost a dozen games where they had a lead in the 3rd. Even a 3 goal lead in the 3rd is not safe. It's getting to be almost bizarre

Once the refs made it clear they had no intention of policing cheap shots, the Sharks badly needed to send a message that they wont tolerate it. This team isn't good enough to take the high road and point to the scoreboard. The turnaround starts when teams no longer want you on the schedule

Music business has always been brutal. Every hit song ever made has had more people dismiss it than praise it. Even amongst hugely successful artists, they could publish 200 songs and have most people really only pay attention to five of them. It's a story far more about failure than triumph

I may have misunderstood your op. I agree, everyone seems desperately self-serving, and the actual love of music is getting completely lost

If you've ever changed a song structure to be 3 minutes, put the hook first, etc. then you cannot escape this comment. But if you look at the why, I feel strongly that the artists bear very little responsibility for this. It's not even about selling out. It's about actually existing

1/ Digital music was supposed to set artists free. The Napster era (1999) tore down barriers, democratising access. Piracy was theft, yes—but it also exposed how archaic & exploitative the old music industry was. A revolution was coming.

Table of preferences by country and cuisine. Seems like a good data set too. HMM. Interesting. I like how Japan hates like half of em.

The image displays an extensive, color-coded data table representing a survey of international cuisine popularity, conducted by YouGov. It is organized with different types of cuisines listed in rows on the left-hand side, ranging from Italian at the top, indicating the highest popularity, to Finnish cuisine at the bottom. Across the top, columns represent various countries. Each cell in the table contains a percentage value that signifies the proportion of people in that country who have tried the respective cuisine and report that they like it.

The color coding serves as a visual aid, with shades of green indicating higher approval ratings, shades of red indicating lower approval ratings, and yellow representing moderate ratings. Italian, Chinese, and Japanese cuisines are highlighted as the most popular, based on the title. The data seems to show general favorability towards these cuisines across most countries, with high percentages marked in green.

music is often scrutinized with “does it bring anything new to the genre? does it push any boundaries?”, and it kind of bums me out to think about that, because what if i DO just wanna make some self indulgent shit that’s been done before . it’s fun

I am a one man band these days, I love music and I love writing and recording it. I used to play Los Angeles area clubs in my youth. Trying to see if my music resonates with anyone else the way it does with me. Encouragement always feels good.

How the Indie Rock Boom Went Bust
