As per my previous blogging about real history being age-gated, a folk song merely about the 1966 Aberfan disaster now requires age verification. Which is a fairly awful irony. Chapeau @cjforms.bsky.social
YouTube screen cap showing “sign in to confirm your age. This video may be inappropriate for some users”. The song is about Aberfan.

#firstbirdofmyday outside my Norwich hotel - a pair of Collared Doves. That's more than I've seen in north Birmingham in half a decade.

I never thought I'd be laughed at for saying I bookmark stuff on my phone for quick reference and use wikipedia daily for looking up stuff that interests me, but today, at work, I was. Imagine life never having gone down a wiki rabbit-hole. How utterly dull.

He held it up to the light and found it full of holes where, it was eventually admitted by a young family member, they had been poking it with the needle they subsequently lost!

My Uncle Harry did this job for Harvo (the Birmingham malt loaf makers who ceased business in around 1973). He one went to a house where a needle had been found inside a loaf. He asked for the wrapper, which was duly retrieved from the waste-bin.

Well if you could point out where I "demand a repetition in the alt-text", I'm sure we'd all be impressed. Perhaps you could also point out where the post mentions the dog, the railings, or the colour of the flowers, and other things that we can see in the image that are not in the text you quote?
