Perfectly normal sleeping position… #Labradors
A funnily positioned Labrador: back legs on a sofa, front legs on an Ottoman, sleeping as a suspended bridge between the two pieces of furniture.

Nigel Farage is reliably wrong on everything. He's pretty much a litmus test for the wrong solutions to problems, to actually make them worse.

I think it's absolutely mad that today there's a *national news story* about 400 oil platform workers losing their jobs, and the government being blamed. 25% of the UK TV industry lost their jobs in the last 4 years and we never hear a peep about it! Some jobs are 'real jobs' I guess.

8am gardening, throwing obligatory ball tax for my Labrador (spot him?). I'm comfy in shorts Tshirt. Mid September same latitude as Manchester, it's pretty mild this year. Grass is growing like crazy, which is fair considering the summer scorch, hosepipe ban. I'll get the mower out in a bit.

There's a nice 4K Dolby Vision & Atmos remaster of Jurassic Park on Apple TV. They've added a bunch of classic films for free as part of the subscription. I just got to the TRex arrival scene. Rewatching is really taking me back to the original cinema release all those years ago!

If someone made themselves wealthy from punching people in the face and then turning around and selling them icepacks. It would be surprising. But the further rightwing the politician the more standard it is. #Politics

That not only would having a Brexit vote be pointless, divisive, damaging & expensive, but it would increase the practice of politicians doing damage tactically to then cynically election campaign on pretending they were a solution to the damage they had actually caused. Reform Tories, Farage. Etc.

The only thing privatised water companies built in UK has been debts and weakening infrastructure. The last new reservoir opened in 1992? And was started in 1979 or something. #water

Improving national health isn't just a social imperative, it's a major economic driver. Research from the Health Foundation finds that returning UK health outcomes to 2014 levels could add £57bn (2% to GDP) to the economy and ease pressure on the NHS. Read: www.theguardian.com/society/2026...
