my forensic investigation concludes i took it out of my ear and placed it in the same pocket as my keys, then while approaching home i pulled my keys out and inadvertently flung the earbud out onto the street where it lay for several hours before i spidey sense recovered it

though it is pretty incredible... i lost my right earbud earlier and thought i maybe swept it in the trash before i tossed it down the chute... my spidey sense said to check my bluetooth on my way home and sure enough it was nearby and connected and i found it on the sidewalk (like 12 hours later)
