Saying a trans woman can't recognise misogyny and seemingly implying it is to do with her being trans, is at least a little bit transphobic, at best.
Post (from Threads, I think) by @magicalgirlsabrina from a month ago quoting a post from @taylorlorenz:

@magicalgirlsabrina
just to be clear taylor lorenz is transphobic

> @taylorlorenz
> @magicalgirlsabrina oh! I see you're the former writer for Input. I remember who you are, I didn't realize you transitioned. For many reasons it's now totally unsurprising to me you cannot recognize misogyny.

@magicalgirlsabrina
i worked down a magazine called input that I co-founded that was filled with toxic behavior by leadership, and so i and others also co- founded a union at the parent company, and when the union went through, i quit the job

just in case she tries to spin this as about being

You have reminded me of this lovely post: www.reddit.com/r/MadeMeSmil...
Post on Reddit in r/Made me smile from u/ButterscotchButtons from over a year ago.

Title: Accidentally said "Love you!" at the end of a call with an important client yesterday. I heard him giggle as I hung up, and I was mortified. Today, I saw he emailed me this:

Post includes a picture of an email with the identifying details removed:
Subject: "Love you!"

Content:
Hey.

Just wanted to say that I didn't mean to laugh at you when you accidentally signed off on our call with a "love you." I just found it funny because I've definitely done that before, and I know it happens.

I'm glad you have enough love in your life that that response comes naturally. If anything, you should be proud of that :)

Have a great weekend! We'll follow up about my call with Chris on Wednesday, as discussed.

"Distracted boyfriend" meme except:
The boyfriend has been replaced with a picture of the grim repear, a skull and bony hand barely visible from under a black, hooded robe.
The distraction, in the foreground, has been replaced by a picture of Lindsay Graham.
The "upset girlfriend", stood next to what would be the boyfriend, has been replaced by a photo of an upset Mitch McConnell.

I got you!
An incredibly poorly edited version of Gail's picture, i.e. the Punisher Skull and the text "THE PUNISHER SHOULD SMILE MORE" in pink text.

The editing poorly replaces the bottom part of the Punisher skull with a crude line drawing of a goofy grin.
It looks so very, very bad.
I can't express just how terribly the editing has been done.

(The editing was done by me with the in-built photo editing tools of an Android phone. I'm sorry.)

Just played Sanibel with @laurastephen.bsky.social and @discomrobulated.bsky.social A wonderfully pleasing game with some very nice mechanics. It felt very close all the way through, and I just squeaked a win with 45 points. Another fantastic game from an awesome designer!
My final "bag" in Sanibel, a cardboard mat with various tiles laid on it, each tile with some type of shell, an echinoderm, or shark's tooth.
I have:
4 unique, non-touching echinoderms (4 points)
0 bivalves with at least one other of the same type (0 points)
7 unique touching snails (including one from a lighthouse tile) (7 points)
21 ceriths (17 points)
5 distinct pairs of coquinas (10 points)
2 shark teeth (1 point)
4 covered diamond rows (which my lighthouse tile scores, for 4 points)

I'm trying to find a replacement, or a way to recondition a failing, lithium ion battery (made of two 18650s connected in parallel). There looks to be several options but the complication is that there are three wires coming out, into a JST connector, not two.

Decided to pull the trigger, and give this game a shot. Not the most competent shooter. It feels rushed, and the strategic elements are poorly planned out. With a bit more time and thought, I think the lone developer may have achieved their aims.

It was a good attempt, but better luck next time. I look forward to this developers next project, whenever that appears. Probably in about 25 years to life.133tn3ss_17

This game plays well on Steam Deck, the only target the author managed to hit. Everything else just misses the mark.

Bohrdom doesn't just lean into boredom-it fully commits to it. It pulls the proverbial trigger and keeps going. The game overall seems very poorly planned out. I did not appreciate being forced into the tutorial for instance. The music is not great either.

Overall, Bohrdom is not going to blow you away. Buy it only for the memes, and to own a piece of history. That is the only reason why I decided to pull the trigger and buy it.Blue Hinter

Quote post with something good that lasted longer than the Confederacy (1861-1865) Doctor Who. Even just the original run (1963-1989), or just the reboot (2005-present), rather than the whole show combined (1963-present).

When the printing press was first brought over from the continent it didn't have either character so printers decided to replace "þ" with the wye, y, as these looked similar when written ornately. This is why many "older worlde" style shops use "Ye" in their name, but this is really just "The".
Two variants of the word "the" as written in an abbreviated form common in Middle English and surviving through Early Modern English.

The first is a thorn with an e above it, the second is an ornate wye with an e above it.

I think plate 7 is also ambiguous because the top isn't well differentiated so it could be either a fancy 3 or 5
An ornate three. It is hard to describe meaningfully but the top is flat, rather than curved, and there is a serif on the top left edgeAn ornate 5. This is more like a common digit 5 but has additional swirls.

Captain America in "Amazing Spider-Man" #537 giving the eponymous web-slinger some words of encouragement. We see Captain America from slightly below, with a night sky in the background. Cap is wearing his Stars & Stripes outfit and looking down at Peter Parker (we can just see the very top of Peter's head, seeing brown hair, so he isn't masked in this scene):

Doesn’t matter what the press says. Doesn’t matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn’t matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right.

This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences.

When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world

 — “No, you move.”

One thing I have really appreciated is books that say right up front that they are part of a series. If we can also get a little synopsis of characters on the inside that would be even better, yes! I am an avid reader of much so if it's been a while giving me a little nudge to remember helps!

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or Alice in Chains. (And I'm actually following the brief!)
The cover of the 1996 album "Stoosh" by Skunk Anansie.

The main part of the image is a very close, to the point it is slightly out of focus, image of Skin (the lead singer and one of the guitarists) who is a black woman with a shaved head.
Behind her are the other members of the band.
The whole thing is in black and white.

The band name and album title appear in an orange rectangle, as if it is a small sticker in the top left.
