Sad news. Just heard that Big Davey from freight has been killed by a shark while honeymooning in the Caribbean. Local Police say he didn't suffer too long as he'd only been married 3 days.

I suspect the post execution debrief will be far more like an episode of police squad. Remember, Sally Decker shot Twice once, Once fired Twice. youtu.be/het1kl-A8qw?...

I came to love this when it was released, the 3rd in a 3 album post-Bill arc starting with Up. It showed the journey the band were on and felt like an organic progression to this point Would have loved to see what the next album would've been like had there not been such a backlash.

Look to see who's arrived since you've sat down, whether they've already been served, take that 2 mins comment as "we forgot about you but will prepare it immediately and over-promise the time it'll take". After 45 min wait I'd have lost both appetite&patience, & be unable to fully enjoy the meal.

And the music choices have often been brilliant. It is frustrating the end credits want to skip to the next episode though - spoils the mood. Always have to dive for the remote to stop it happening. This one surprised me tonight though. #spoileralert #thebear youtu.be/ePZsKMdfFNk?...

The scenes with Carmy & his PTSD are so well written, as I've come to know more about the condition. Self-sacrifice comes right to the fore when he ends up locked in the walk-in fridge. (I've yet to see how that turns out). Despite it being a brilliant night, he feels like his world is ending.

I worked in a restaurant kitchen for about 8 mos years ago when I was in college. There were three chefs all called Steve (Steve, Steven, & English Steve) & the scene with Olivia Colman peeling mushrooms reminds me of the prep the guys used to do early Sunday morning, specifically chopping mushrooms

I forgot that this song existed, but got to serenade my wife to it just now in the car. A modern soul song from the 90s, probably now a classic, it had tonnes of radio play once upon a time. #CurtisStigers #blastfromthepast youtu.be/zGDnsIcS5nc?...

After Colombian player Andres Escobar scored an OG at WC '94, he was shot dead when he returned home. Have to believe this result must be on a par with that. When those players get home they should travel in armour-plated cars for a while. IDF have murdered people for a lot less.

"Goin' Back" was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King in 1966. The song was recorded that year by Dusty Springfield, and was a top ten hit on the UK Singles Chart. The Byrds, Marianne Faithfull, the Pretenders, Diana Ross, Phil Collins, and Carole also covered the song, among many others.

I was actually trying to find this one this morning, but think it must be stored in the garage someplace. Or my mum's house. Either way, crowd surfing at a rowdy gig at The Point circa 2005 is a strong memory of The Strokes for me.
