For your convenience, the Pride and Prejudice live-posting super-thread 📚

A drawing of Elizabeth Bennet, a lovely young woman with her long hair tied up nearly under a ribbon and wearing what is most likely a neo-classically inspired dress, looking pensive, two letters in her hand. Meanwhile Darcy, a handsome but stern-looking fellow, looks longingly at her. Also there is me, a little gremlin in big round glasses, skulking about in the background and hoping that they kiss.

The accompanying text reads “Trung reads Pride and Prejudice for the first time, somehow.”

These three riding around in the Bentley, solving (and occasionally committing) crimes and drinking boba! #goodomens needs to make this a spin-off!

Jesus, Muriel and Eric in the Bentley. Eric is screaming in terror, Muriel is pointing at god and telling Jesus to run her over! Jesus isn’t watching the road.

RIP to the incomparable Sam Neill

How long has it been since you've seen the original "Jurassic Park"?

SAM NEILL The last time I watched it in its totality was sitting beside Princess Di at Leicester Square at the London opening.
On the other side of me was my son Tim - he was 11 and completely swept away by it, but about the time the T-Rex turns up, Tim started to fart. And the draft was drifting across me to royalty! I spent the whole film in a muck sweat, thinking, "Princess Di is being exposed to the horrors of a little boy's fart, but she's going to think it's me. I am going to be subliminally blamed for my son's crimes, and I don't think she'll talk to me afterwards." But she was well brought up and never mentioned it.
JEFF GOLDBLUM I love that story, Sam.
I've heard him tell that a couple of times, and it's just amazing the lengths that he will go to still blame the boy.

Sometimes I just randomly think of a moment from 'A Companion to Owls' and then my brain hops to another and I love how rich and wonderful (and silly) that single episode of television is. It's its own little story and often exists quite on its own in my mind and I really think that's something.

#go3spoilers Heaven/Hell as a metaphor for religion/government. They disallow forbidden queer love. & we then see the 2, completely free in a world where that’s not even questioned. Media where we see queer people be allowed to live, love and get old and wrinkly together is needed more than ever.

bringing this one from 2023 back cuz I need y'all to Please imagine this His Dark Materials dialogue as an exchange between Aziraphale and Crowley 💫 #GoodOmens #IneffableHusbands

Aziraphale and Crowley are lying together on a blanket in a field full of yellow and pink flowers. Their jackets are off, and they're using Aziraphale's as a pillow. Crowley is on his back, with his arm under Aziraphale's head, and Aziraphale is lying on his side pressed against Crowley, caressing Crowley's face and entwining their legs at the knees. They're looking into each other's eyes and smiling warmly. There are text bars at the top and bottom, and a small one in the middle, showing a piece of dialogue from Philip Pullman's The Amber Spyglass. The top bar reads,"You and I could live here forever and just live each other." and then, "I will love you forever; whatever happens. Till I die and after I die, and when I find my way out of the land of the dead, I’ll drift about forever, all my atoms, till I find you again… I’ll be looking for you, every moment, every single moment. And when we do find each other again, we’ll cling together so tight that nothing and no one’ll ever tear us apart." The middle bar reads, "Every atom of me and every atom of you…", and then the bottom bar reads, "We’ll live in birds and flowers and dragonflies and pine trees and in clouds and in those little specks of light you see floating in sunbeams… And when they use our atoms to make new lives, they won’t just be able to take one, they’ll have to take two, one of you and one of me, we’ll be joined so tight…"

The fact that they still chose the same professions, had the same personalities minus the trauma, and the instant connection, indicates that all that history did *not* at all vanish but instead went into their very creation. Their entire 6000 year story became the DNA for their new trauma-free one.
