I work on site in an office doing desktop support and our company is top in it's field at least locally, mostly driven by people who work on site all the time at a high level. I'm not going to get more specific than that though.

It's because deep down they *know* full time WFH is less productive and can only keep up the facade if no one points it out. The thing is that non WFH also know this so it's a losing battle long term.

It may be job dependent but for the regular white collar offices workers that I work with you might as well not even show up on Monday or Friday, it's that bad. I talk to people who voluntarily are on site and they have the same opinion on it, which is why they come on site.

Is WFH good? Obviously! IMO the best situation is 3-4 days on site and then the rest WFH, but I do not believe at all that full time WFH is the correct solution for 90% of people. They just are not nearly as productive.

The sovereign debt crisis was not because of material conditions! It was because of archaic laws that prevented the crown from levying taxes on most of the land in France, mostly owned by the clergy and the nobility! The king was initially trying to tax the clergy and the nobility more!
