Union und SPD wollen die Strom-Netzentgelte auf Staatskosten allgemein senken - eine teure Maßnahme, die die wirklichen Probleme der Industrie nicht löst. M.E. muss die GroKo Erleichterungen gezielter gewähren, stärkere Dekarbonisierungsanreize setzen und die EU von Anfang mitdenken. 🧵

In meinem Beitrag in @makronom.bsky.social erkläre ich erneut, wie grüne Grundstoffindustrien in DE und EU wettbewebsfähig bleiben können. Kurz: der „Sweet Spot“ beim Zerteilen der energieintensiven Wertschöpfungsketten könnte der Import v. HBI, Ammoniak & Methanol (statt der Import von H₂) sein.

We just published a paper on the cost competitiveness of blue and green #hydrogen! In brief: blue H₂ may compete and bridge the green supply gap — but only if (a) natural gas is cheap (~15€/MWh) and (b) blue H₂ has high capture rates (>90% of CO₂) and low CH₄ leakage (<1%).
