Research for this project took me to the basement of the Queens Central Library, where I got to see and handle the mimeographed leaflets and flyers of the dedicated activists of Southeast Queens who fought injustice decades ago. It was my great pleasure to help @transalt.org Queens present our activist-led proposal for a protected bike lane network in Sunnyside and Woodside to Queens Community Board 2 last night. Trips to places like Astoria, Greenpoint, and Maspeth are fastest by bike, and we can make them safe.
