I should go to bed, but I'm very proud of my efforts today... At exactly 12:02 a.m. on October 12 I hit the Last Interlude in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia I missed settling the matter of the Time Loop from October 8-11 by only 2 minutes I pushed as far into Interlude as I dare, but I'll need to go to work

Seeing Aniplex titles show up on MediaOCD feels like good news... That Madoka UHD Movie set gives me only one mood... Ok 2: I want one! Dubbed Garden of Sinners on UHD when? Gimme a reason!!! I have neither a 4K tv nor 4K player... Aniplex could pump the world economy by giving me dubbed 4K KNK.

I wonder how many Typemoon fans have specifically bought the Fate/Stay Night Visual novel 3 times? Back in the day you needed the $70+ PC 3 Cd-Rom or the Dvd Rom to install the game and patch the English. You needed the $70+ PS2 disk to install audio. Now it's on steam or Nintendo E-Shop for $18.

I finally unlocked the Hanafuda card game in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia... Started playing it... wait a minute, this looks familiar. Aah, it's that odd PSP game I got with PS2 Fate/Stay Night Realta Nua in 2008, but it's subtitled, I know what the heck is going on now! Saber wants Onsen Eggs... yum.

My 9 anime --> C... if you just want the 9 it's C. a. The 1st Impact b. The form an anime fan takes after the smoke clears c. The 40 Year old (The ones that gave me a lot to think about and really stuck with me... Neon Genesis Evangelion just barely missed the cut. d. What I'm watching these days

A. Princess Mononoke, an Introduction of Studio Ghibli
Fushigi Yugi: An introduction of Shoujo tv anime
Howl's Moving Castle: The 1st Anime Movie Purchase
REC: The first Seinen Romance
Trigun: The cool show every anime fan on campus had a bootleg DVD set of.
Scrapped Princess: The Anime tv show so cheap I finished it with a mid opinion and bought it because nothing was that cheap from my limited knowledge of anime.
Rurouni Kenshin: The Meat and Potatoes of Anime, the show that introduced me to Shounen and almost killed my interest in anime permanently... I had watched all 95 episodes in under 2 months and barely liked 10 of the season 3 episodes.
Last Exile: The Recovery
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The anime Christian Anime Alliance forum had banned from conversation, but it seemed like a big deal so I bought it as my 1st tv anime and uh... that was an insanely hard watch so I put it down for 10 years but did not resell it. (I'd fall in love with it 10 years later.)

B. With a foothold in the door I switched from taking recommendations to choosing my own shows and declaring my favorites... in a way ,this 9 panel is a mere footnote, others could fit several of these slots, but these were all a BIG Deal for me in the glorious years of 2007-2009.
Clannad: The show by which I came to judge all others.
Ef~A Tale of Memories/Melodies: Holy Shaft... I'd already seen REC, but this show made a visual statement that couldn't be denied. It was different.
Fate/Stay Night 2006: The 1st anime I ever watched without someone recommending it... I picked it as my very 1st attempt at making a choice.
Toradora: The end all be all of Rom Coms... It set a standard I've not yet seen matched, and I've moved on to other genres since then.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: The show that was shown to me hat I continued to show to everyone else.
Shakugan no Shana: We all have one of those shows that was soo cool and aged like milk. I watched it recently and it's aged like a very mixed-poor quality work (But it still has some really cool standout moments and you can't have my copy... I might want to watch it again).
Last Exile: The Cool Last Exile... I used to watch this soo much before they made another one that just killed it for me.
Spice and Wolf: I have the new one, I haven't watched it yet... I'm looking forward to it.
Lunar Legend Tsukihime

C. The 9 anime that shaped who I am.
These shows were the real hitters when it all comes down to it.
Fate/Stay Night: Broke Purity Culture apart with a story about Justice that went against my cultural conditioning and showed me part of the way out of a psychological quagmire.
Garden of Sinners: The anime I researched extensively and always needed to know more about, the one that made me want to know how its author's worldview worked.
Haibane Renmei: My Depression Anime, when things weren't going well... I would always go home and turn on this one.
Rozen Maiden: The anime I needed after one of the darkest moments in my mind... when it felt like an oozing blackness of storm and extreme loneliness almost unraveled me. -It pre-empted my 1st attempt at Serial Experiments Lain.
Galaxy Express 999: A Children's Story, another chance to go through Children's media from a completely different culture built around a completely different way of being and doing compared to my childhood of Christian Moralizing media
Angel's Egg:
Hell Girl: 3 Vessels: What we have here is a Failure to communicate. I thought about this one a fair bit... It's a morality play about the extreme acts of various characters while having a gods eye view and a grim view of proceedings that seem to show a solution, but never reach for the good ending.
KyousouGiga: "What's Wrong with Just Being Here?" I was raised Calvinist/Presbyterian and the concept of Election always weighed heavily on my young mind because I never heard the voice of God... and that might tilt back toward what led me to watch Rozen Maiden after my Mind had gone to Hell and spiraled me out of high functioning anxiety into a slow burn slump into depression over the next 8 years. It helped me in the recovery.
Serial Experiments Lain: I was deep in Depression when I finally watched this anime and cried during every episode, then when I was struggling to continue, I borrowed Lain's "Where is the real me?" language to talk my way out.

D. I've grown more prone to sitting in a chair and doing nothing with my days off now that I'm 40... I still try new things... old though they may be. I also like to revisit past favorites... This is what I've been watching most recently.
Venus Wars: 1 rewatch
Bubblegum Crash (New)
Strawberry Panic (2 rewatches)
Alien Nine (New)
Desert Rose (New)
Hotori~Simply Wishing for Hope~ (New)
Kite Liberator (1 Rewatch- New This Year)
Adventures of Mini Goddess (3 Rewatches... probably)
Ah My Goddess! ~Flights of Fancy (2 Rewatches)

I have Urusei Yatsura, Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045, and Vivid Strike all in Progress for the 1st time.

I'm just in time to completely miss the Summer of Slug Dryrates deadline by a whole day. But I came up with an idea and it was a rush job because I didn't know I was late, but I was sure the deadline was close... so I slapped my technic strandbeast functions together like finesse is a luxury.

A Strandbeast Raft (Walking sailship) with three dryrates crosses the desert in search of whale bones beneath a palm tree.

A Rear view. The legs are mechanised to be actuated into strandbeast motion by a wheel behind the mast.

A top down view from the front with the sial and the Imperial crest in central focus, and also showing off the Model T esque radiator and headlights in front of the mast. Cannons adorn the shoulders of the rickety strandbeast.

Dead on frontal view of the Strandbeast. It's roughly 1 foot tall and has ropes leading up behind the sail to a crows nest. It's a cross between a strandbeast, a raft, and a Model T.
