Boy, have I got a bridge to sell those guys.

Actually, most regular cyclists abhor these rentabikes, for the reason your photo makes clear.

I visited Dublin as a child in the late 1950s and mass cyclists at rush hour is one of my clearest memories.

I've been calling the peak of the Australian housing market since I arrived here in 1978; had to be right sometime.

We do a lot of police checks (we're a recruitment company) and they're slower the more common your name is.

As a small child in the 1950s I remember crowds of bikes at rush hour in Dublin.

Is it just my feed, or has the whole of BlueSky become suddenly obsessed with cycling? (Third possibility: BlueSky somehow knows I’m a cyclist?)

I’m all in favour of hire bikes in principle but idiot cyclists who park like this give the rest a bad reputation. It only needs a molecule of common sense …
A hire bike parked across the pavement as we round the corner. We often have to walk in the road here.

I think this is their way of retroactively rationalizing how LLMs haven't gotten any better in like two years and are stuck with a certain inevitable percentage of "hallucinations" - so hey let's IPO next year - and if it seems like the product isn't improving, well we did that on purpose

What if OpenAI et al finally realised that pumping more compute into their models wasn’t actually improving them any more, and decided they needed an excuse to stop trying? “AI will kill us all” leaves them with all the cash, plus a great reason not to deliver.

Car did that to me on a quiet road and I stopped dead in front of him. It worked, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I've always assumed that those high-end shops were just for money laundering, so they don't care if there are no customers.

My dad had a copy of "Test your own IQ" and one weekend when I was a kid I did all the tests for fun. Monday morning the school administered an IQ test to the whole class. I don't know what I scored, but the teachers looked at me funny from then on.

Not as bad as the signs that say "Trucks can't stop quickly." They should just go slower, then.
