I'm now conclusively out of touch! I thought UK Ug was a shoe factory & UK jerk a carnival dish. Recce suggests UK jerk's reviving a 20 yr old US genre I'd not heard of either, + there's apparently plugg, rage, digicore & Milwaukee lowend also. A 5 year lifetime film catchup was too long a break!

It was an open mic, line up drifting per piece, rather than pre-set bands. Not the most amazing music ever, but wonderful to see 15 mins from my village, and quite a lovely little atmosphere as well.

Albert Goldman's Disco: Did a scandalous book on Elvis that most people said he just made up. Did one on disco as well. It is available second hand, but very expensive. THINK there might be photos in it, & MIGHT be more than one ed, but never seen at a reasonable price...
