In 2014 when in 🇦🇫 the Taliban were fire bombing voting centres & cutting off citizens fingers marked in blue showing they voted. Gavi needs $1.4bn to vaccinate 52 million children against malaria by 2030. And that’s only a third of high risk kids. Instead, the US has just cut 12% of Gavi’s entire budget, which coincidentally is $1.58bn
