I actually super love the new Open Cup format. It’s imperfect, but we live in an imperfect environment where domestic soccer is still not very popular. Against my better angels I even commented on Reddit about it. I think it’s not a bad hand at all for lower league teams.

MLS (and USL and NWSL) need to continue their to improve the product and how it’s accessed. But I have a theory on the below – why Apple and FOX didn’t make a push. My theory is that they have data that says if they did, they’d get no results or return from it.
