One of my personal apps needs a recurring task, and GitHub Actions seemed perfect. I’d heard scheduled jobs were unreliable, but GitHub’s status page showed everything green. So I had Claude Sonnet build it. None of the jobs ran on schedule. The GitHub status page sits on a throne of lies.

IndieCourses.com shuts down by end-of-year. I will shut down the platform by December 1st. It has been mostly dead in 2026 anyway, costs me $1000/yr admin upkeep, and I want to focus on Pushin.eu going forward. My apologies to the creators but I thank you profoundly for your trust!

The web framework Phoenix, written in Elixir, can serve as a model for Rails. The developers of Elixir and Phoenix jumped on the Agentic Coding bandwagon very early on and offer ideal opportunities to combine both worlds, for example, with their own agents.md file optimized for Elixir in every new Phoenix project and the Tidewave tool.

This is an unpopular take but as a neurodivergent self-employed person, LLM's have been an unbelievably helpful tool for the things I have struggled with my whole adult life: managing my finances, filling out paperwork, and staying on top of my email. I'm functional in a way I never dreamed of.

well... this is certainly ...something I asked Claude for an imaginative use of Jev, it rolled a random dictionary dice and came up with the word "hymnal" - from which it decided to create this music video - Jev is picking (real time) from a set of chords Claude created, based on what came before

If you’re looking for a business idea: i can’t find a single European provider for Firecracker VMs on demand that run on European non-hyperscaler servers. Koyeb comes close but they also use AWS. I need it for CI and know others with the same need.

Don’t believe every graph you see, especially when they show only a small section of the true range. When we render these non-scientific results on a box plot and show the full range, the narrowness of the bias becomes clear. There’s a bias of course but a significantly smaller one than in humans

Now I’m literally chatting with my backlog. I get most ideas when I walk my dog so now I just open the Claude app and tell it to add another issue to the backlog. We might refine it a little and prioritize it and I’m done within a minute without writing anything

Sure! I added the Linear connector in the Claude app. I pasted the Markdown and Claude added the items. I had my phone connected to my car and chatted with the Claude app. It grouped the items into projects and we chatted about the roadmap and any gaps it saw. It updated items through Linear’s MCP

My todo list for Pushin outgrew my Obsidian file today and I moved ~300 issues to Linear through the Claude app and then refined the roadmap by talking to Claude while driving! The future is now, old man!

I've extracted an Elixir Jetstream V2 library from @shelf.cafe. Define multiple subscribers, filter on collections and dids, keep track of cursors. All the good stuff! Makes it trivial to connect to the live data stream for atproto in #ElixirLang. Check it out! tangled.org/jola.dev/kite/
