The web framework Phoenix, written in Elixir, can serve as a model for Rails. The developers of Elixir and Phoenix jumped on the Agentic Coding bandwagon very early on and offer ideal opportunities to combine both worlds, for example, with their own agents.md file optimized for Elixir in every new Phoenix project and the Tidewave tool.

Don’t believe every graph you see, especially when they show only a small section of the true range. When we render these non-scientific results on a box plot and show the full range, the narrowness of the bias becomes clear. There’s a bias of course but a significantly smaller one than in humans

Now the GPT bot started crawling all public repos **through the subdomain origin.pushin.eu ** which is only route that doesn't go through Bunny where I blocked these crawlers. Smart! But also annoying. Now I gotta block that subdomain for all but the Bunny IPs. DevOps is fun!

It's a 18 core bare metal server on Scaleway. It showed some spikes when I landed on #3 on HN, but it usually hovers around 2.5% :D Most visitors only check the landing page and leave I guess, so there's not much actual work to do

Since the soft-release of Pushin.eu, my GitHub competitor hosted in Europe, 28 users signed up to try it out! I even have one of the first users of GitHub trying out Pushin, which is crazy!

I trained my first tiny LLM today! I have no freaking clue how any of this works, but I now have a 3.3mb model that I can chat with!

The historical wage data has some interesting insights. For example, it took the same number of average salaries to buy a house in 2007/08 as it did in 2025! Also the percentage of a salary that goes to an average mortgage is the same again

GitHub doesn’t need a state-actor like Iran to DDoS their systems! They are more than capable to do it themselves, thank you very much. The incident report on the outage yesterday is live. It seems like their Copilot plugin in VS Code DDoS’ed them www.githubstatus.com/incidents/zk...

I love my new 3D printer! I got annoyed by our workarounds to keep the windows open during the summer, so I 3D-printed small holders that keep the window at a 45 degree angle. No more banging windows when a gust comes through!

Had to take Bella to the vet today because apparently grapes are toxic for dogs and they can die of kidney failure if they have too many. She had just a few and is doing a-okay but just to be sure, we’re doing a blood test.

We watched “The Invite” yesterday and it was great. It switches between fun and tension every few minutes so it’s a non-stop rollercoaster. Today, we’ll watch The Odyssey at the IMAX. Let’s see what all the right-wing propaganda was about. Probably nothing like always
