Just do it. 🎷 A wonderful day with Jiggs Whigham in Düren. Don’t let fear or doubt stop you. Try it. Play. Listen. Learn. Sometimes things only seem difficult until we actually do them. A lesson in music – and in life. 🎶

We often listen while already preparing our answer. But sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is pause and ask one more question. People rarely need us to have every answer. They need to feel that we’ve understood what matters to them.

Responsibility doesn’t begin when we have power over others. It begins in the small moments: when we listen, question our assumptions, admit a mistake or choose not to look away. None of us can fix everything. But each of us can decide how we show up today.

You get whom—and what—you vote for. Before an election, we can see how people lead and communicate, and what a party stands for. Voting out of habit, frustration or protest has consequences. A vote gives power—and with it comes responsibility.

When an AI “breaks out,” I don’t just see an AI problem. I see a management problem. Who gave it access, permissions and autonomy without sufficient safeguards? AI may act unpredictably—but responsibility remains human. Technology needs boundaries. Leadership must set them. #AI

Not everything in life can be solved. Sometimes strength means accepting the moment as it is—with patience, trust and presence. You don’t need to have everything under control. Just take the next small step. The path often reveals itself only as we walk it.

For a long time, I thought my different roles had little in common: business, music, teaching, mentoring. Today I see the thread: listening, connecting people, giving orientation and creating space for growth.

Every now and then, I listen to Spotify playlists with today’s charts. And every time I think: I’m really glad I got to experience the 80s and 90s. 😄🎶

Ich frage mich, wer solche Autos kaufen soll: „Familien-SUV BMWiX5…der Basispreis soll über 100.000 € liegen.“

Jiggs Whigham is coming to Düren! 🎶 On Oct 3, the Burgau-Gymnasium hosts workshops on phrasing, timing, style and big band playing — active participation is encouraged. Nearly 70 years of international experience, right here in Düren. A rare opportunity. Interested? Feel free to contact me.

43.8% for the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt sounds huge. In absolute terms, 576,037 people voted for them — about 0.95% of all eligible voters in Germany. It was a state election, of course. Still, perspective matters.

Politics feels distant. Cars get bigger and less affordable. Education keeps struggling. Different issues, same pattern: decisions are drifting away from everyday reality. Maybe trust starts with something simple again: listening to people.

I’ve worked in very different worlds: business, music, teaching and technology. What connects them for me is always the same question: What helps people grow, find orientation and become more themselves? That’s what I want to explore here.

„Es gibt zu wenig Learning aus den vergangenen Krisen.“ (Jan Josef Liefers). Das trifft den Kern und zieht sich durch sämtliche Themen.

I teach children and teenagers every week. What I see is simple: not everyone needs the same pace, the same support or the same path. For years, studies have shown who is most likely to fall behind. Maybe the real challenge is no longer knowing what is wrong. It is finally acting on it.

Young people don’t need a world without technology. They need to learn how not to lose themselves in it. Maybe our job as adults is less about banning everything — and more about helping them discover who they are beyond likes, feeds and expectations. 🧭

I love what live music can do: people stop, listen, smile — and for a moment, simply enjoy being there. That’s what Soul & Sax is about for me: creating atmosphere, emotion and real connection. 🎷🎤❤️ www.soulandsax.de

I’ve been teaching music for many years, and this week marks the start of my 10th year. Since 2022, the number of music teachers insured through Germany’s Artists’ Social Insurance Fund has fallen by 14%. Yet music lessons offer far more than technique: they help people grow.

Young people face countless images, opinions and expectations. Sometimes they don’t need more advice, but someone who listens, believes in them and encourages them to find their own path. That’s why Wayfinder matters to me: helping young people discover what already lies within them.
