Exhilarating. From a threading of the differing elements in its ‘literal’ story to the kaleidoscopic embroidery of disparate imaginings, this is a gripping, glorious poetic read. The virtuoso cut-up, collage and other findings constantly and creatively reconvene its memories.

We need an alternative to the sovereignty destroying, secretive, wasteful ,warmongering AUKUS fiasco. Labor must focus on cost of living, climate change, housing, health and education. Threatening Rex Patrick with costs in order to hide plans for a nuclear waste dump stinks!

A likely and terrifying outcome from the contest between ON, the Nats and the rump Liberals is that it is likely to change the discourse in Australia in ways most of us don’t want to see. Yes Labor might govern for a decade or longer but the Australia it governs might be a divided riven nation.

I wouldn’t be so quick to rush to a judgment that the Right side of politics is dead in the water for a generation or more . Racism runs deep in this country and attempts to inflame and incite the racist underbelly will meet with some success in the outer suburbs and the regions.

As I have suggested before. Once the Stadium issue is resolved in the Tas Parliament a pretext will be confected to allow Labor to enter some arrangement with the Greens and 4 of the independents and oust Rockliff.A fed environment act banning logging would help this process. Watch this space.
