Don’t piss off a bibliophile. #Booksky

@ianrankin1.bsky.social Hi Mr Rankin, just finished Saints of the Shadow Bible. Enjoyed it as always, huge Rebus fan. Is this a book where you tested a different approach to Rebus, just felt he was a bit less sure of himself. Getting older, slower, a little more on the edge. Thank you 😊

@kurtbusiek.bsky.social Hi Mr Busiek, does a writer and artist on a title need to get along to be successful? Or they can create a good title without any amiability? Thanks 😊

@christophcondon.bsky.social Hi Mr Condon, binged News from the Fallout last night. Very interesting concept and the art was moody. Enjoyed it 👍

We know that Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are the top three DC characters (maybe the top 3 in all comics). Who is 4th at DC? Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow?

@kurtbusiek.bsky.social Hi Kurt, are there lines that don't need to be crossed in fiction? I have read 2 books this week by well-known writers, in one a baby is shot dead while in the other the baddies are currently cutting people's body parts off in order to get information. Too much? I think so.

@ianrankin1.bsky.social Hi Ian, just reading The Complaints and there are the occasional comments in it about there being issues in Scotland with the economy etc. This was 2009, is it better today?

@ryannorth.ca Hi Mr North, Ben Grimm wanting to turn back into The Thing makes no sense to me. He has been trying to be normal for years, and now he doesn't? Love your stories but confused with this one.

@kurtbusiek.bsky.social Hi Kurt, whose work did you like better? Jack Kirby or Steve Ditko?

@ianrankin1.bsky.social Hi Mr Rankin, finished Exit Music last night. Great as always. I did wonder if the ending could have been a great end for the Rebus stories...leave us all wondering about his future and relationship with Big Ger.

@ianrankin1.bsky.social Hi Mr Rankin, does it make a difference to you if a reader buys your books digitally rather than in paper? Thanks 😊

@kurtbusiek.bsky.social Hi Kurt, if you are looking for a great author, try Ken Bruen. Irish crime writer who is really sensational.

If you are looking for a good writer, try Ken Bruen. The guy is totally different to anyone and he is brilliant. Love his work.

@kurtbusiek.bsky.social Does it make a financial difference to the creators if people buy trades vs single issues? Or is it all the same in the end?

@tomtaylormade.bsky.social Now that you are writing Batman, your bucket list of comic career goals must be dwindling!

@phchess.bsky.social Is it a bit of an adventure for you to prepare for a little known GM who is scheduled to play Magnus rather than preparing for the usual Super GM he faces? Just going through his Olympiad game in NIC Magazine and the thought came to me. 😀

@tomking.bsky.social Hi Mr King, just belatedly finished Strange Adventures. It is one of the few comics to leave me emotionally drained. Loved the depth of writing and the artwork, really hard to see a huge fave of mine in Adam Strange totally destroyed though.

@jefflemire.bsky.social Hi Mr Lemire, just a quick note to thank you for Essex County. I finished the set this morning and it is one of those rare times that I want to re-read a comic immediately. Really rivals Black Hammer and Underwater Welder for my favourite of yours.

@brianmbendis.bsky.social Hi Mr Bendis, I miss thought bubbles in comics. Seems strange that characters can be alone and speak out loud instead of thinking.

@kurtbusiek.bsky.social Finally read Marvels. Has to be regarded as one of the comic literature's classics. The humanity of the series is what got me, realistic characters, and a feeling of drama. Thank you 😊

@kurtbusiek.bsky.social Hi, what kind of money would a comic creator get if their creation hits the big screen in a big release? Are we talking 7 figures? Thanks 😊
