I'm very excited to say that the first paper from my PhD has just been published: besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/..., providing a step by step guide for using chemical tracers in archival tissues. Then applying these steps to a track a diadromous brown trout.

It was amazing to attend my first @amfisheriessoc.bsky.social annual meeting, presenting both a talk and poster, many fascinating discussions and talks about metabolism in fish alongside the impacts of temperature and hypoxia! Massive thanks to @thefsbi.bsky.social for sponsoring my travel.

Loved discussing connections between salmon & humans, evolutionarily, culturally & physiologically, for a podcast being made by @tidelines.bsky.social for the Salmon Run (River Exe, Sept 20th). Amazing interviews w/ Henry Chung, Patrick Schoenmakers, Jen Hoyal Cuthill, Peter Betts & Lucy Smith 🐟
