New OHID research suggests 1 in 4 women experience #PerinatalMentalHealth issues, higher than previous estimates of 1 in 5. With rates as high as 27.5% in North East England, we must ensure all new and expectant parents get the support they need, regardless of background or postcode.

Today is the first official day of our NIHR Three Schools Mental Programme project to develop a perinatal walking group for Muslim mothers. We will spend the next nine months codesigning the walking group with local parents and services in Sheffield. We will also design the tools to evaluate it.
