What’s funny is you can just run into Moldbug on the streets of Chinatown NYC where he pretends to be a cool guy in a leather jacket who writes poetry at outdoor seating coffee shops and tell his 5’6 ass, who also happens to be Jewish as well, to off himself. Like I have.

“In general, EVs sound like tinny spaceships, or a soulless rendition of a lone Brian Eno loop.” Online: William Harris on the sounds of electric cars

EV Listening | William Harris
The Honda Prologue has a hovering, suffusing melody, with a low rhythmic pulse and a subtle, epiphanic wash. It sounds like a computer game lifting you into heaven, or the arrival of benevolent extraterrestrial colonists. The Porsche Taycan makes a more sinister and comic, gulping, warp-speed sound, and the Nissan Ariya gives off a disturbed digital whine, like the tantrums of a petulant robot.

I’m the first person in my family to return to Poland since tsar loyalist pogroms kicked my great grandparents out in the 1910s/early 20s. It’s a very loaded experience emotionally, and I know I’ve only seen very little being only in Warsaw, but it has been a special few days to say the least.

One selection from her once in a lifetime performance last night at the National Polish Symphony Hall. Moral of the story, if you do something unique with conviction, consistency, and care, you can literally do whatever you want and people will respect you for your entire life.

Ran into Diamanda Galas in the hotel elevator, she looked like her usual grumpy self in full black pajamas and make up at 845 AM, told her I loved her set last night and she just lit up and became the sweetest auntie I’ve ever encountered. Told me she wish was here to take my class earlier 😭😭😭

Unfortunately even the Free Tibet NGO movement and the making of an American celebrity out of the Dalai Llama in the late 20th century was also an anti-communist i.e. china optics war funded by the same people who de-fanged the counter culture movement.

I don’t know if I’ve ever directly been musically influenced by an algorithm in such an egregious way. Surely I’ve found individual artists on Instagram but almost always via friends or someone I follow posting about them, which just feels like a continuation of how I’ve always used the internet

My advice to anyone considering grad school: get the public uni degree over the private bc the faculty you want to study with are all adjuncts and will never get a full time job at either so you might as well go to the place that won’t put you in decades worth of debt.
