It’s called a “Ghost Town” for a reason: lots of people died here, away from everything, looking to profit from gold and gambling

Now, it is a California State Park. It is surprisingly, open all year round! If you want to visit in winter, you can bring your Snowmobile all the way to town and bring some chocolates or presents to the Rangers living here all year round
