A work in progress illustration colored in blacks, grays, and red of a Dilophosaurus family feasting on the corpse of a Sarahsaurus. Blood is dripping from the mouth of the adult and its holding the heart of the disemboweled creature at its feet. Two juvenile Dilophosaurus are taking part in feasting on the corpse their parent killed. One of the babies has crawled into the empty chest cavity of the dead Sarahsaurus and made a little place to sit. Below the illustration is the text "Fix Your Heart Or Die" which is a reference to David Lynch's Twin Peaks.

a scene of Pounce, and Quiver approaching Burnet. Pounce looks nervous and Quiver is stepping out from behind him grinning maniacally. Burnet is smiling, though with a Burnet-typical worried angle to her brows. The background behind them is coloured using the trans flag, with a blue and pink morning sky, fading to white behind pink tinted mountains, and blue pines below them.

Pounce: I want to tell you I'm Found, and... want to be referred to as 'he' and a tom.

New #paleoart posted to #Patreon for #FossilFriday: #sauropod Atlasaurus walks through glowing phytoplankton on a pleasant Jurassic evening. The hi-res painting, WIPs and scientific rationale for the scene can be found here: www.patreon.com/posts/129695... #sciart

A long-necked dinosaur, silhouetted against a night sky bisected by the delicate misty swirls of the Milky Way, walks through a sea of glowing blue dinoflagellates. A crescent moon occurs just above her tail. She wonders why no one else wanted to come on this memorable night walk, and then remembers that she is a reconstruction by an artist living over one hundred million years in the future, and that she exists only as pixels on screens. She has no permanence, no physicality. But, in being composed mainly of light, she feels a oneness with the glowing organisms at her feet, and the twinkling stars above. "Are we not all transient, temporary expressions of physics?", she thinks. "And for what I lack in body, I exist here, in this setting, in this moment, forever surrounded by two of nature's grandest spectacles." She walks on, her lighter-coloured scales catching the glow of the stars and waves. "Things could be worse", she thinks, smiling at how deeply philosophical her small sauropod brain has turned out to be.

An illustration of two canids on a steppe/grassland.
The left canine is Aenocyon dirus, a dire wolf aka Masked Wolf in Kindred. It is russet brown with a dark face rimmed in paler brown. The throat is also dark and it has a saddle on the shoulders like modern wolves. The right is a pure white wolf with blue eyes and an awkward, overshot jaw.
Aenocyon says, "So, if you're a Dire wolf, why are you white?"
To which Romulus/Remus (doesn't matter which) replies "idk *what* I am..."

A digital painting of gold steppe in the background and 3 Homotherium serum in the foreground. The sky is blue with a few fluffy white clouds. The grass is golden and the Steppe backs onto blue mountains. A herd of bootherium (an extinct, leggier relative of the muskox) are grazing. One is looking towards the sabercats in the foreground but doesn't seem concerned yet. Poppy, Quiver and Pounce are viewed from behind, though Pounce is looking off into the distance away from the herd that has the other two molly's attention.

A digital drawing, the last panel of Moon 10 part 1 of Kindred of the mammoth. It features Pounce and Poppy, Homotherium serum aka Fleet Fangs. There is also a Smildon fatalis aka Ice Fang.

In the foreground, laying down by the cliffs edge on orange/yellow grass, is Pounce and a young Ice Fang (which can be told by the tiny sabers). The ice fang is pressing his nose into the side of Pounce's muzzle and Pounce is shown without visible sclera for the first time since Moon 4. Poppy peering over a rock in the background pulling a o^o face

A digital art piece from the start of Moon 10 part 1. It features the whole Kindred except Pounce. They are Homotherium serum aka Fleet Fangs.

It is sunrise with a slight orange glow cast over the distant mountains and autumn leaves. The whole kindred on a patch of grass and boulders besides the herb cave seen in Moon 8. Dart is fixated on a beetle and Bat is next to her, but he is looking up at Burnet, who is slinking past the boulders looking at Lilac with pinned ears. Lilac is facing away but his ears are also angled towards her. He is wearing the snare again, now with herbs tucked between the rope. Pine is rearing onto his back legs while fighting with Quiver. She seems to be beating him as he is unbalanced and about to fall. The back of Poppy's ears are visible as she watches.

A digital drawing of two cats holding each other while the smaller, a grey and white tom, cries into the larger brown tom's fur. They are characters from Loudclan clangen on Tumblr. The background is foggy pine forests, and where they are sitting is grassy with small, white flowers. The scene is framed by pine branches.

Kulindadromeus is friend-shaped. Reworking an old drawing to offer up for sale next week.

Detail from a larger pencil drawing of a Kulindadromeus looking up at something. Kulindadromeus is a small, herbivorous neornithischian dinosaur from the middle Jurassic. It's almost wholly covered in feather-like integument, excepting its scaly tail, limb extremities, and snout. Its overall appearance might be playfully described as a kind of bird-lizard-wallaby.

The very small detail is photographed with a pencil and a penny. The penny could eclipse the Kulindadromeus' entire torso.

This guy hasn't technically shown up yet in Kindred of the Mammoth, but I drew him for a sneak preview on Tumblr >:3 And he's trans, yay!

A reference sheet of a yearling Ice Fang (Smilodon fatalis)
Name: Summit Seeker
he/him (trans flag)
13 moons
A small Ice Fang with very pale fur. He is white with pale grey stripes. His paw pads and inner lips are pink and his eyes are deep blue. Being a yearling, his sabers only barely protrude from his mouth, and there are two on each side. This is ontogenetic rather than a mutation.
Notes read: False eyes on ears (pointing to his ears), throat hackle (pointing to the tuft of curly fur under his throat) Double sabers- will shed at ~2yrs (pointing to a view of inside his mouth to provide a gum/tooth pallet).
