Something to look into to save some $$, I never bought the keyboard that goes with it. Thought it was too expensive and didn't like they only worked when attached (though newer models might be wireless now). Got a $20 mini wireless bluetooth keyboard from Amazon that was the same size instead.

I think the only time I do really notice a drawing lag is if it's been a long time since it's been restarted, or if it's plugged in and charging. So I primarily use it on battery. But it is almost 7 years old, so could be an age-related issue.

I currently use a Pro 7, and it's still running great. Never once had any issues at least that I've noticed. I actively use the touch gestures while drawing and never noticed any lag or input error. Did a quick test just now with the side of my hand on the screen while drawing, zero issues.

I have all white kitchen cabinets with a texture (a cheap cabinet wrap), and they are the bane of my existence. Admittedly an all grey house is an instant giveaway of it usually being a cheap flip, so I on instinct loathe it. I think of it as all the character having been sucked out.

I used to live in Biddeford not too far from the shooting. I think about the immigrant families that lived in my building. The whole situation breaks my heart. Fuck ICE

Right now the world is full of people who want to code and write and paint and film stuff and people who want to play and read and look at and watch stuff and nobody is allowed to do any of that because some unrelated third guy isn't making enough money off the deal

Sending Kitty good vibes, I remember worrying over my old chinchilla at that age. He also had a whole penthouse, but preferred hanging out in an oatmeal cardboard tube. I'm sorry about how your brother was treated.

I hate shopping for, and setting up routers.

Man, lightning just struck REALLY close to my house, and somehow cooked my router (and only my router, thankfully).

Maybe under cabinet lights? I use battery powered motion sensor ones, that are magnetic so they're easy to remove to charge. The magnet mounts come with adhesives so you can stick them anywhere.

They started a new grove, so at least there is still continuing hope one day they'll be restored.

Maarta Laiho @pencilcat.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

An arboretum near me takes part in the restoration program. They had a grove of 15-20' trees that were so pretty. Sadly they were cleared last winter (presumably because of the blight), and it's a sad reminder everytime I walk by it what's become of the chestnut trees.
