But they were too polite (or confused) to call me out so we just had an awkward conversation with an audience.

The funniest part of this was after seeing y’all, i went to make rounds and at the warhammer booth i saw someone and said loudly “there’s a guy i know!” And upon getting closer and engaging in conversation, it was not in fact a guy I knew.

Sunday Game day! Today is Armello, based on the video game of the same name. It’s always silly to me when they make a digital board game and then an analog version of it, but much like Slay the Spire (analog) it is very much it’s own thing and is VERY good!

I watched “Run, Woman, Run” for National Canadian Film Day. 10/10 movie. Heartfelt, emotional, well acted and really hit home. Despite having done a presentation on media representation earlier in the day, i am always surprised by how hard Indigenous stories hit me.

When I started my business we made the mistake of over hiring based on the work we WANTED to do, rather than the work we WERE doing which hurt us a lot in the long term, and I suspect is a common practice. And our business was founded in more reasonable practices.

A lot of new businesses/business ideas are speculative and need to start off appearing “successful” to build towards success. You can operate at a loss for 3-6 months if you take debt or self fund, or even longer if you can bring on venture capitalists who are willing to buy your vision.

I’m super disconnected from even music that I like but i somehow missed that my favorite rap group re recorded and re-released this album from 2000 and now I’m reliving the experience of just listening to it from start to finish.

I felt similar to Arcs/Blighted Reach so it’s an easily solved problem, and that doesn’t even begin to address the depth of the Deeper Dungeons expansion, which amongst other things, can make it a 1 V all. WHAT?!?

020

David from Pe Metawe Games! @pemetawedavid.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

My only criticism of the game (so far) is that the “retail” version feels lighter than I want, but for a game designed by a publisher who wants to make child accessible games, that is likely intentional. The adventurers pack (included in the KS version) makes it a near perfect game in my opinion.

Sketching out the dungeon step by step is simultaneously so nostalgic of the games we tried to create in class in elementary school while also being an incredibly engaging experience. We played two games back to back and I cannot stop thinking or talking about how good it is.

120

David from Pe Metawe Games! @pemetawedavid.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

Basically it is a two player game in which you are each first secretly creating a dungeon, and then exploring each others dungeons. You need to find treasure, defeat monsters and avoid traps, with the hope of finding an exit before your opponent. THIS is the game i dreamed of playing as a kid

After much waiting, i was finally able to play one of my most anticipated board games from @kidstablebg.bsky.social, Lairs. I have a lot of bias towards the publisher and one of the designers but I am always ready to be critical of a game. This game has already far exceeded my expectations.

We chose our home largely in part of cool people who represent our values and fight for our needs and we have been successful largely because of community minded folks like Janis. She continues to give us hope every day.

I traveled to whitehorse, vancouver and red deer over the last 8 days for a mix of personal and professional reasons. It was mostly rewarding, very tiring and kept me away from work that needs doing. But when i got back to the store I found this and it reminded me why i get up and fight every day.

Not-so-humble brag about my husband @ryokley.bsky.social : He's the one who created the video I've been sharing about the Ruin anthology Kickstarter (see below). He's also working on layout for multiple submissions for the upcoming issue of the Sprigs & Kindling TTRPG zine and they are looking SLICK
