And after a wait the driver announces the bus is terminating and you all have to get off and scramble to get a place on the one behind (happens quite often in Sutton 🫤)

Fair point, although we tend to use Instagram and/or WhatsApp for that. I know they're also Meta, but they're less AI and advertising heavy.

Peter Platt @peeteepee.bsky.social · 07/11/2025

Quite honestly, Meta, in particular Facebook, is no longer fit for purpose. It's outlived it's usefulness.

At the time it seemed like a good idea, but for someone who doesn't do socials all that much, having two accounts was a bit of a faff 🙂

Running to enter the #AlphabetChallenge #WeekSforShadows (If this picture looks familiar, then it probably is, I posted it a couple of days ago on my other "photography only" account. I since changed my mind about having two accounts, one specifically for photography, so the other one was deleted)

Skipped #parkrun this morning, so went for a shorter #walk instead. Royal Marsden September Challenge walk 8 with 40km now complete 😀

Nonsuch #parkrun this morning, Jeffing for the first half, then #walking with a friend for the second half. Royal Marsden September Challenge walk 4, about 20 km completed in week 1. Another good turn out, just under 1000 took part. #RoyalMarsden #CancerCharity

Nonsuch parkrun and 5K Your Way. We also remembered David Gullen, a Nonsuch 5K Your Way ambassador, recently lost to prostate cancer. David always finished his run with arms outstretched and "flew" into the finish line. Just over 1000 attendees. #parkrun #5KYourWay #5KYW #MoveAgainstCancer #Nonsuch

A rather nice harvest from my small garden this morning. Still loads of tomatoes, beans and courgettes to come and leeks & carrots have been planted/sown in the tubs that had the potatoes in. Pleased how things are going despite the continued lack of rain #gardening #homeproduce #growyourown 🍅🌱🥔🥕🌧️

Drawn back to Morden #parkrun for a satisfying test on grass and inclines. Great to see the #parkwalk initiative getting a turn in the spotlight . I see the future, and it is a little bit slower 😂 #LetsWalk #LoveParkrun #Running

Drink plenty of water, eat as healthily as you can and try to get a bit of exercise every now and then, because there are people you *definitely* want to outlive.
