I was blown away by Anselm Kiefer’s The Seven Heavenly Palaces. Pictures fail to convey the size of these mastodontic precarious concrete towers, up to 19m tall and 90t heavy. #PirelliHangarBicocca
Wide shot of hangar bicocca, an industrial warehouse converted to art space. 3 concrete towers, uneven, bare, against black walls and ceiling stand on the cement ground. Some giant paintings are hung on the hangar walls. Some people are visible, giving a sense of the enormous size of the space and the towers. This is an art piece by Anselm Kiefer titled The Seven Heavenly Palaces.Detail of one of the concrete towers by Anselm Kiefer at hangar bicocca, an industrial warehouse converted to art space. The concrete tower, uneven, bare, against black walls and ceiling is seen behind another one, ahead in the field of view. Detail of Ansel Kiefer’s concrete tower, part of the artist’s permanent installation at hangar bicocca, an industrial warehouse converted to art space. The concrete tower, uneven, bare, is cast from an industrial container side panel, assembling 4 concrete walls on a square concrete base, topped with a square concrete plate, iterating this block 5 or 6 times. Metal rods project out of the concrete top slabs. You’re doing it wrong. Why is a. a radio button? The choices are not exclusive, so a checkbox would be the correct choice, avoiding the need for b., that serves the sole purpose of removing the choice. Even before being an accessibility issue, this is a wrong UX pattern.
Annotated screenshot of a web form on a phone, showing two events, each with a radio button to select them. The first event has the radio checked annotated with the letter a. Over the text that represents the label for the radio button there is an icon of an eraser, annotated with letter b.

A beautiful day on a clear warm day, we climbed to the pass de la croix above Champorcher, alt. 2290m. An overwhelming palette of fall colors with the coniferous woods stacking their colors against a crisp blue sky. Loved every step (about 16.500!)

Had to fill an Excel form today. Had to wrestle with the date field. programmer, YOU WILL DIE SINGLE.
Cyanide and Happiness comic with nerd girl next to nerd guy at common working desk. She asks him "What is your idea of a perfect date?" to which he answers "DD/MM/YYYY, other formats can be really confusing."
She throws paper up in the air and leaves saying "You will die single."
