It feels sadder than it should since she lived such an important and inpactful life and reached the venerable age of 92. I wish she hadn’t died during this time of despicable attacks on women and their rights. I do believe better days are ahead.

Today we took the puppy to go swimming in the river and there were 4 eagles fishing the entire time. They would dive into the water and come up with a shiny silver fish and take the fish over to the railroad tracks to eat and then fish some more. It was magical.

My kid went on a school trip to Iceland and was sat next to his English teacher. I just found out he talked to her about Bob Dylan the entire flight and I’m not sure I have ever had such a happy parental moment!

Sometimes when I am deeply anxious & can’t sleep & feel panic creeping up the back of my throat I imagine myself sitting next to Dylan in that loft where the heat pipes just cough and the country music station plays soft because it seems so calm there but you can also see the whole world.

Getting a puppy right in the middle of the worst depressive episode you have ever had may sound like a bad idea, but I'm not sure I would have gotten out of bed in February if it wasn't for him. Life is hard and sad and difficult but dogs are so very good!

If I knew how to be a hacker I would use my hacking skills primarily to give myself a few extra weeks with my library books. Not noble I know but sometimes I need more than three weeks to finish reading a book. I have 3 kids, 4 cats and a new puppy. I’m so busy!
