there is a big difference between "cards that are salt-inducing by design" and "cards that are salt-inducing because the people that play them use them explicitly to make people salty" and it is IMPORTANT that we reflect on this as adults.

they do mention that they were heavily inspired by our standardized ruleset which is nice but this is unfortunately the challenge of being an unofficial community format that is run by people who did not invent it

good news is mc atlanta has a pdh event which is cool. bad news is that they are changing one of the core tenets of the format since, like, its inception and requiring legendaries in the cz. more annoyed about it than i should be probably but cest la vie www.pastimesevents.com/pauper-comma...

like, with monk of the open hand, its obviously not the strongest mono white commander out there, but the little mini game of sequencing my spells so im always casting two things a turn is super fun and interesting every single time moxfield.com/decks/Fkgk74...

this one especially is really interesting to me as a pdh commander because while it is probably a little lower on power level than most folks would like, it does give you a little victory condition to shoot for every turn and that honeslty is a big part of what keeps things fresh from game to game

010

pdh rc derek @pdhrcderek.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

the reality fracture mirrored pairs legendary uncommons are really cool for pdh and all but pretty much every uncommon creature is a banger tbh

PSA: #MTGFracture is a great entry to #PauperCommander, budget-friendly, many deck $20–50 & are webcam-friendly to play. I'm currently assembling 💀 Tinybones Pocket Nuisance @moxfield.com deck list: moxfield.com/decks/GtM4QX... 🦖 Ghalta the Unstoppable: moxfield.com/decks/I8XNyP... and brewing more

Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance
{2}{B}
Legendary Creature — Skeleton Rogue

When Tinybones enters, each opponent discards a card.

Whenever a player discards one or more cards, Tinybones deals 1 damage to each opponent.

No score is too small, no coin purse too big.

2/1

from Magic: the Gathering — Reality Fracture (2026)

Ghalta the Unstoppable
{8}{G}
Legendary Creature — Elder Dinosaur

This spell costs {X} less to cast, where X is the greatest power among creatures you control.

Trample

Other creatures you control have trample.

The apex of nature’s ferocity.
