I'm exploring MCPs to retrieve information from Open Data. The following integration tests **are all copy-paste**: same logic, same LLM, same MCP, same Tool, same data. The way in which the LLM decides how to use the tool differs so sometimes it gets it right and sometimes not.

Testing MCPs I'm seeing some LLM's problems when handling data: they propagate errors and they do not sum properly. a) They "hallucinate" a value for some registries while in "thinking" mode (548 in the example). b) They cannot sum properly, even with its own data. Is 41, but it sums 42 🤷

I had a list of 1.8K words that I wanted to translate, I used same prompt. Both web. - Deepseek: Thought 5 seconds, processed, and returned a two columns csv. - ChatGPT: hallucinated the amounts of words, over-engineered a list of "solutions", contradicted itself. I gave up.
