Reached levels of exhaustion I didn't even know existed today.

Paul @paulzavalavo.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Have a million and one things to do tomorrow. City hall, bank, real estate office, class. Definitely treating myself to something REAL nice (or tasty)

Kinda crazy just how little my desire to play games is when I have literally anything else to fill my time. Unsure on how I feel about that 🤔

Finished up Control Resonant. What a game. Last half had some of the coolest shit in games. Absolutely loved the Annihilation/House of Leaves adjacent themes. Think this one may have to take my GOTY spot for the time being.

Control Resonant is such a dope game. Insanely fun.

Exactly. I am tired of seeing the “I always knew”/“their work was actually bad” takes whenever allegations emerge. Sometimes—often, actually!—bad people find their way into good spaces and make good things. And you’re not better than the folks who were taken advantage of for “always knowing”

everything about the jacob geller allegations is deeply upsetting and traumatising, from the details themselves to their being publicised on twitter by third party texts seemingly without any consultation with the victim to the armchair detective posting that followed

I feel like I have so much I want to say but it’s just this incoherent ramble. But do you know how much it weighs on me to be the one woman on staff at GameSpot? To be one of VERY few women in the industry? To be one of ever fewer moms? To walk into press events and be the *sole* woman?

Not sure if it's just a fluke, but the Domino's out here is drastically better than back home (admittedly, not a high bar.) *Adds Takadanobaba Domino's to favorites*

Finally got into The Blood of Dawnwalker and dang, what a good game. Combat is fun for the most part but it does get pretty repetitive and extremely easy before too long (even on the hardest difficulty). Side quests and voice acting have all been top notch.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave spins an epic yarn, where gods and men fight for their dreams and their futures. It's a worthy addition to the franchise, and sure to eat up your Switch 2 hours for quite a while. Our review of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave: gameinformer.com/review/fire-...

Ocarina of Time Remake looking GOOD. Child Link looks a little greasy at times, but adult Link, the enemies, and the rest of the world look fantastic. I need those new joycons....
