19 trans people murdered this year,* but that's not as many as goo goo human rights advocates warned, so let's attack them. It's not a problem that people are possibly being murdered for their gender identities while organized campaigns spew hate against them. *number validated by Grok and Gemini!

Ten years? So that doesn't include the fact that daddy bribed Harvard to let him in. That was before Daddy set up a honey trap for his brother in law, secretly recorded the assignation, and sent the video to his sister. Daddy is now ambassador to France.

I feel like the debate about what parts of AI are good and what parts are bad should wait until we solve the worldwide crisis caused by the fact that almost of all of its evangelists in both tech and govt are morally, intellectually, and ethically unequipped to oversee it, when not downright evil.

Excellent work putting the MAGA rampage into context. Reading it makes one realize that the supporters of democracy have the ability to turn things around. However, it is critical not just to return to democracy, but to repair it. We need to elect people dedicated to that task.

But collectively, the narrow focus on grants to universities is misguided, especially when one accounts for the balance of where the money actually goes (source: NCSES). A plurality of federal R&D funding goes to businesses, followed by internal R&D expenditure, followed by higher education.
Chart outlining the flow of federal R&D obligations to performers. Business received over 69 billion dollars, followed by federal internal at 51 billion, followed by higher education at 44.4 billion. Federally funded research and development centers received 16.3 billion, nonprofits 10.6 billion, and foreign performers 1.1 billion. State and local governments received 795 million.

The death penalty is a moral abomination. State-sanctioned barbarism pushed by incompetent morons and sanctioned by the Supreme Court. Absolute ghoul shit. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
The lone woman on Tennessee's death row was still alive after she was administered two lethal injections, her lawyer said in a motion seeking to halt her execution Wednesday night, a stunning development after the Supreme Court had stepped in to allow the state to put her to death.
At 8:26 p.m. local time, witnesses said
"executioners had injected both syringes of lethal injection chemicals and Pike is still alive and snoring," her lawyers said in a federal court filing.
They said Pike "has not lost consciousness and still has a heartbeat," and that curtains to the death chamber "have gone down twice."

My team at the NVA Lab has produced a new dashboard for exploring our data on US protests from Jan 2025-May 2026. This snapshot shows the 61k+ protest events (>14.6M+ recorded participants) active in the US since Trump's second inauguration. Link to dashboard in thread.
A platform displaying the data on US protests from the Crowd Counting Consortium. It includes a map of the US with counts of protest events in circular form overlaying the protests' locations. It also includes weekly tallies of protest events and participations, top protest issues, and various filters allowing users to explore events by location, issue, date, political valence, etc. The top of the image shows a total of 61,782 protests with 14,684,201 participants across 55 US states and territories from January 20, 2025 to May 31, 2026.

If we had a real opposition party in this country, it would not only be reminding oligarchs that law enforcement will resume upon regime change, but it would be letting foreign countries know that their "investments" could be viewed as electoral meddling.
